Srinagar, Aug 08 (KNO): Sarfaraz Ali, a young martial artist from Khanyar area of Srinagar, has made Kashmir proud by winning gold and bronze medal at the 9th Federation Cup 2025-26 in Pencak Silat, held at NDS Indoor Stadium, Leh.
Sarfaraz bagged gold in the Artistic Regu event and bronze in the 80–85kg weight category, showcasing both artistic finesse and physical strength in this Southeast Asian Martial Art.
Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Sarfaraz said the medals reflect his hard work and the support of his family, coaches and well-wishers.
“The competition was intense, but I gave it my best. I hope this inspires more youth from J&K to take up martial arts,” he said.
